Mint Vanilla Chilled Coffee

Everyone loves coffee but I know in ATL it can get hot in the summer months so, we have to find different options! Iced coffee is delicious and refreshing! This drink would be the perfect drink to make if one of your July nights you are having a grill out or for a morning  boost! It is fairly simple and easy to make. This recipe does include freezing something overnight.

You will be making coffee ice cubes, mint syrup and then the final product.
Ingredients

Serves: 3
Cook time: With coffee iced cubes overnight (with out about an hour)

Coffee Ice Cubes

1/2 Fresh coffee (we used a brew Vanilla by Starbucks)

Any type of sweet cream creamer

Mint Syrup

2 cups (depending how minty you want it)

1 cup of sugar

1 cups of mint (again depending on how you like it)

1 teaspoon of vanilla exact

Final Product

Your coffee ice cubes (if you don't have time plain works the same)

A tablespoon of mint(for decoration)

Your creamer

Directions
  1. Brew coffee for the ice cubes(if you are using normal ice skip 1-3).
  2. Mix in the creamer.
  3. Pour into a ice tray and let in chill in the freezer for at least 7 hours.
  4. When your ice is ready leave it in the freezer but brew 2 more cups of coffee.
  5. Next get a sauce pot out and fill it with the water, sugar, mint leaves and vanilla extract.
  6. The stove should be on high the entire time you are boiling. Watch it and about 10 minutes in it will boil. Let it boil for a couple minutes (3) and turn it off.
  7. We then poured the syrup with leaves into a bowl. If you have time let it sit on the counter if not stick it straight into the fridge. If you do have time leave it on the counter but don't forget about it cause you still need to pop it into the fridge for 10 minutes.
  8. After 20 minutes take out the syrup. It should be a little colder than room temperature.
  9. Take the coffee you brewed half an hour ago and mix in the creamer (sugar/milk).
  10. In your glasses put your ice cubes in first. Pour the syrup in (the amount you like) and stir up!
  11. Find cute straws then add fresh mint leaves!
  12. Ta-da!

Quick easy waves

This is a quick easy way to get beautiful summer beach waves.
Number 1: You need to have wet hair.
Take a shower and then let it air dry! I don't use a brush on my hair but you can.
Number 2: The right products. Me & Jaci's go to is "It's a 10 Miracle Leave in Conditioner plus Keratin" which can get pricy LINK . Also "Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray" which is the perfect price at 5.99 LINK.

Number 3: Style
You can leave it down.
Throw it up in a pony.
Or split your hair in to two chunks and braid each side. Once you do that pull it up!

Sunny Cali

What better way to start the summer but with a week long trip to California! This was me and Jaci's  first time there and my first time meeting my cousin. It was great, she is 25 and lives in Beverly Hills. Meeting her was for sure the high light of the trip! There were some behind the scenes action because we are in LA people, why not?!? Hollywood was a must do but it was short, we were only in "Hollywood" for like 10 minutes and got out of there! If you are planning a trip to California anytime soon, see the stars for like five minutes and then go shopping!

Do you watch American Horror Story(AHS)? Season one was themed Murder House!!! I can now say I have been to murder house!

Another high light of the trip was the fooood,
amazing food! Everywhere! UUMMM just thinking about it makes me hungry! If you are in staying in Beverly Hills for sure get yourself some good Mexican food at a place called Pink Taco! the weather is amazing 90% of the time so when you go to dinner sit outside and enjoy the sun as much as possible. More restaurant options, Bedford n' Burns if you are looking for a romantic or quiet restaurant! Lemonade a quick and easy place to grab some lunch and yummy lemonade of course! Sweet tooth victims Sprinkles is going to be your save haven!

I don't know about you but I have a record player and had to go to a record store while I was in LA so I just looked it up and Record Surpluse came up. It was full of great deals the only problem was we spent like 20 minutes looking for a place to park! California is a busy place and full of people so be ready for that! I personally love the big city vibe! I highly recommend if you have never been to Los Angles GOO!

Music Monday on a Thursday

Kadi

Once before I did a quick and sweet favorite song/artist at the moment! It has been about two months since that so I feel it needs an update. I am not sure if you have seen the movie Divergent yet but 80% of the music is Ellie Goulding. I am a huge fan of her, in fact I have been to a couple of her concerts and love her voice. Although I love her, my favorite song in the movie is not by her! It is by a band named M83. They have a few songs but the most popular is called Midnight City. The song that I like will be linked below listen to find out.
